There are many waterfalls in every Australian state, although the most spectacular drops are along the eastern seaboard – the Blue Mountains (NSW), Waterfall Way near Dorrigo (NSW), Lamington National Park (QLD) and Cairns region (QLD) are some of the best places to go chasing easily-accessible waterfalls.

The list below is sorted by (my subjective) rating in descending order – so highest-rated falls/swimming spots at the top!

No positions found.

Coomera Falls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Lamington National Park. A lookout platform accessed via a 10km return / 17.5km loop walk provides a view from the top.
Curracurrong Falls is a unique waterfall in the Royal National Park, as it plunges directly off high cliffs into the ocean. On windy days, it's also known to blow back up as mist, becoming a "reverse waterfall".
