There are many waterfalls in every Australian state, although the most spectacular drops are along the eastern seaboard – the Blue Mountains (NSW), Waterfall Way near Dorrigo (NSW), Lamington National Park (QLD) and Cairns region (QLD) are some of the best places to go chasing easily-accessible waterfalls.

An unofficial (or unnamed) waterfall along the Yuelerbah Walking Track, the Flaggy Creek Cascades is formed by the creek flowing over a number of rock tiers.

Girrakool Waterfall in Brisbane Water National Park (near Gosford) is a beautiful waterfall, which drops into a natural pool surrounded by bush.

Getting its name from the Aboriginal word for "big waterfall", Goomoolahra Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall along the Warrie Circuit in Springbrook National Park.

Greenes Falls is located in the D'Aguilar National Park (about 45min from Brisbane), and accessed via a short bushwalk. It's a nice but not very spectacular waterfall.
