There are many waterfalls in every Australian state, although the most spectacular drops are along the eastern seaboard – the Blue Mountains (NSW), Waterfall Way near Dorrigo (NSW), Lamington National Park (QLD) and Cairns region (QLD) are some of the best places to go chasing easily-accessible waterfalls.

A small but picturesque cascade in Blackheath, Taylor Fall is above Horseshoe Falls along Popes Glen Creek. You can cool off in the shallow pool at the base of the falls.

Andamira Waterfall (aka Leask Creek Falls) in the Brisbane Water National Park is a small but scenic waterfall. The water drops over the middle of a low, amphitheatre-like cliff.
