There are hundreds of trig stations across Sydney’s north and north-west, from remote parts of national parks to suburban locations. You might be surprised to find a trig point hidden away in your suburb! Some of the best-preserved trig stations are easily reached near residential developments.

There are nice views from the Topham Trig on the top of Topham Hill in West Head - but it's a relatively long off-track walk to get there.

The Mitchell Fire Trail in Dural passes Tunks Trig (which is hidden in scrub near the trail) and continues to a nice vantage point over Berowra Valley National Park.

Turimetta Trig Station is a fairly ordinary concrete base, in a great location - it's on the Turimetta Headland beween Warriewood Beach and Turimetta Beach.

An easy walk along the Salvation Loop & Wallaroo Track, with the last 200m to the Wallaroo Trig being a scramble through light scrub to the top of the hill.

A relatively hard trig station to reach, Want Trig is at the end of Want Spur, whih is off Shark Rock Ridge, in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

Waratah Trig Station is just above the Waratah Track, and offers some sweeping views over Ku-ring-gai Chase.

There’s no evidence of the Wheeler Heights trig station. It’s easy to reach, but there are multiple (unofficial) signs indicating it's on private land.

Reached via an 800m off-track route from the Cullamine Fire Trail, the White Trig has been significantly depiled.

Missing its vane, the Wilkins Trig lies hidden in the scrub just off the Perimeter Trail in Duffys Forest.
