Summary: The Long trig station is visible from the Long Trail, about 900m before the end of the track.

The Long trig station is one of the very few in Ku-ring-gai Chase which is actually located on a major bushwalking track. The trig point is visible from the track (although you won’t see it unless you’re looking for it) and is easily accessible via a short and distinct footpad. The mast and vane are missing, but the substantial rock cairn is in fairly good condition.

Long trig station

There are no views from the trig point, which is surrounded by bush… but it’s worth continuing another 900m to the end of the Long Track for great views over Cowan Creek.
