There are hundreds of trig stations across Sydney’s north and north-west, from remote parts of national parks to suburban locations. You might be surprised to find a trig point hidden away in your suburb! Some of the best-preserved trig stations are easily reached near residential developments.

An easy walk up the Ellis Trig Trail to the Ellis trig. Great view over Coal & Candle from near the remains of the old trig station.

The Euro Trig is relatively easy to reach via the Basin Track, and offers some nice views towards Barrenjoey.

Eva Trig is almost completely destroyed, with just a small pile of stones remaining.

The Gundah Trig is a rather sorry looking pile of stones, just off the Gundah Ridge Track

An easily reached trig station, Hamley Trig is in front of a house in a relatively new Berowra residential development.

The Harvey Trig Station is just above McCarrs Creek Road on a rock platform. Nice views.

The Hornsby Test Line consists of three trig stations (which are technically Permanent Survey Marks) situated 50m apart in perfectly straight line.

The Hungry Trig is located in thick scrub above the General San Martin Drive. The base of the trig is still there, but without its post and vanes.

The Lix Trig in Ingleside is in fairly good condition, with base, mast and vanes intact. The trig station is reached via a short "bush bash".

Located in Muogamarra Nature Reserve, Lloyd Trig is reached via the Lloyd Trig Track. There are extensive views from the trig point.
