Summary: The Euro Trig is relatively easy to reach via the Basin Track, and offers some nice views towards Barrenjoey.

The Euro Trig Station is fairly close to the Basin Track. Unlike many of the other West Head trig stations it’s relatively easy to get to – and it offers pretty good views. The trig itself is fairly intact, although the base is not as well-constructed or impressive as many others trigs that have rock cairns.

From near the trig point there are some some nice views of Barrenjoey Head and the mouth of the Hawkesbury River.

It’s also a great spot in the evening to watch the sun set.

Near the trig station are some old survey marks, and Aboriginal engaving sites.
