Summary: Replacing the original Bantry Trig which was constructed in 1881, the current trig is on top of a water reservoir in a restricted area.

There’s no information on the original Bantry trig station, which was constructed in 1881. The current trig station was erected on top of a large water tower in 1973. It’s only possible to see part of the metal post and the vane.
