Summary: The Queen Victoria Lookout along the Furber Steps (not to be confused with a lookout bearing the same name at Wentworth Falls) provides views over the Jamison Valley, Mount Solitary and Katoomba Falls.

One of a couple of Blue Mountains lookouts sharing the same name, the Queen Victoria Lookout along the Furber Steps overlooks the Jamison Valley and Mount Solitary. It provides a great view of the entire length of Mount Solitary. (The other Queen Victoria Lookout is at Wentworth Falls, and also provides a view over the Jamison Valley). Directly below this lookout and offering almost the same view is Lynes Point.

Directly opposite the lookout to the east is Katoomba Falls.

Getting to Queen Victoria Lookout (Furber Steps)

Access to the lookout is from Scenic World (in Katoomba), where the signposted Furber Steps descend steeply to the bottom of the valley, to meet the Federal Pass. It’s about halfway down the Furber Steps. You can re-trace your steps or take the Scenic Railway back to the top (or continue along the Federal Pass to extend the walk).

This is one of seven lookouts along the Furber Steps:
