Summary: Located on the eastern side of Inspiration Point, Moya Point Lookout offers views over Jamison Valley and of Wentworth Falls.

Although the outlook from Moya Point Lookout is partly obscured by trees, it offers a nice view to the south-east over the Jamison Valley and Kings Tableland – and there’s a good chance you’ll have the vantage point to yourself.

Directly east is Wentworth Falls; Moya Point Lookout offers one of the best view of the entire waterfall.

To the south is Isobel Bowden Ridge.

The lookout and rocky outcrop is on the eastern side of Inspiration Point, and gets its name from the Sudanese Arabic word for water.

Getting to Moya Point Lookout

The easiest way to reach Moya Point Lookout (and the nearby Gladstone Lookout) is from the Fairmont Resort in Leura, via the Grand Cliff Top Walk. Two trails head to the the two lookouts on the opposite sides of Inspiration Point; the “Gladstone Lookout Track” is not well maintained and the start is a bit tricky to find, while the Inspiration Point Track is well signposted.

If you’re heading up (or down) Roberts Pass, the lookout is a very short detour.
