At the mid-point of the Ships Stern Circuit in Lamington National Park, Kooloobano Point offers one of the best views from this bushwalk of the Numinbah Valley. In the distance is Advancetown Lake and the peaks of Nerang National Park and Tamborine National Park.

Directly ahead is Turtle Mountain, which is accessible from here via an unmarked route that involves a very precarious descent down the end of the ridge.
To the north-west is Egg Rock (known as Kurraragin in the Yugambeh language), a volcanic rhyolite plug.
Getting to Kooloobano Point
The signposted lookout is a couple of hundred metres from the Ship’s Stern Circuit, at the end of the ridge.
The Ship’s Stern Circuit in Binna Burra starts opposite the Lamington National Park Information Centre, near the end of Binna Burra Road.
