Summary: Offering sweeping views over Springbrook National Park, Canyon Lookout is one of the most easily-reached vantage points in this section of the park.,

Easily reached by car, Canyon Lookout is on the edge of the escarpment in Springbrook National Park. It provides views over the national park towards the Gold Coast in the distance.

The lookout is named after the sheer, vertical cliffs of the escarpment, which tower above the valley below.

Canyon Lookout is one of two trailheads for the Twin Falls Circuit and Warrie Circuit, which both descend into the valley and pass some of the many waterfalls in Springbrook National Park.

There are a few more lookouts along the Twin Falls Circuit track which runs along the top of the escarpment; the best views are from the eponymously named Best of All Lookout which is a short drive away.

Getting to Canyon Lookout

The lookout is near the end of Springbrook Road, with parking available along Canyon Parade and Ee Jung Road. Springbrook National Park is about a 90-minute drive from Brisbane via the Nerang–Murwillumbah Road (State Route 97) and Springbook Road (State Road 99).
