Summary: An Aboriginal engraving of a fish below the Bairne Track at West Head

Below the Bairne Track are many small rock platforms, hidden in the thick scrub. One of these contains an Aboriginal engraving of single fish, which was only recorded in 2020.

Aboriginal Sites by National Park

Over 40 sites have been recorded within the park; many were located along the river bank and were flooded by the building of the weir in 1938.
