The waterfall is quite scenic, with steep sandstone walls and ferns on both sides of the waterfall and the pool below the falls.

The falls are best after heavy rain, although Lovers Jump Creek flows most of the time. Unfortunately, litter tends to collect in the small pool below the falls.

Getting to Lovers Jump Falls
Lovers Jump Falls can be a bit tricky to reach, even though they are only a short walk from the road. Look for the trailhead for the Lovers Jump Creek Walk on Burns Road. After a few hundred metres along the walking trail, the falls are accessed via a steep and unmarked route down to the base of the falls. Take care, especially on the descent.

More information on Lovers Jump Falls
There is very little information online on these somewhat “secret falls”, and why they get their name…
This is a dog-friendly walk, which is included in Bushwalking with Dogs in Sydney’s North.
