Accessed via a hiking path from one of three trailheads along Jalan Munduk, the impressive Golden Valley Waterfall is one of a series of falls along a steep valley draining Lake Tamblingan.
A viewing platform provides the best vantage point over the full length of the 15m waterfall.
A steep path takes you to the bottom of the waterfall; the pool is too shallow to swim, but you can get right up to the base of the falls.
There are multiple waterfalls you can visit along the same river along the Munduk Waterfall Trek:
- Sacred / Secret Waterfall
- Golden Valley Waterfall
- Red Coral (Munduk) Waterfall
- Belong Waterfall
- Labuhan Kebo Waterfall
- Melanting Waterfall.
Getting to the Golden Valley Waterfall
The quickest way to the Golden Valley Waterfall is from Jalan Munduk (the main road that descends through the valley) via a track that starts at the Golden Valley Eco Cafe. A longer hiking path links all of the waterfalls, which you can do as a one-way hike – ideally by getting dropped off at the top of the valley and picked up at the bottom.
