Summary: The Morialta Falls or First Falls is the largest of three waterfalls along Fourth Creek, in the Morialta Conservation Park.

The largest waterfall of three along Fourth Creek in Morialta Conservation Park, the First Falls (or Morialta Falls) drops 30m down a sheer quartzite cliff. There are multiple vantage points from which to see the falls: the best view is from the Eagles View Lookout, which looks down over the falls and the rugged cliffs around it.

You can also reach the base of the falls, where there is a small viewing platform (and you can continue past the platform to the pool beneath the falls. Swimming is not permitted at any of the waterfalls.

Getting to Morialta Falls (First Falls)

The best way to reach this waterfall is either the short First Falls Hike trail (to the base of the falls) or the longer Second Falls Hike trail (which goes to the Eagles View Lookout) from the end of Morialta Falls Road. A longer loop bushwalk from Norton Summit (Norton Summit to Morialta) or from the Morialta Falls Trailhead passes all three waterfalls – this is also called the Three Falls Grand Loop.
