The Boarding House Dam waterfall is a very small cascade, below the dam. The Boarding House Creek drops into a small pool. It makes a nice swimming hole in the warmer months.

After heavy rain, water will also cascade over the of the dam wall.

Getting to Boarding House Dam

It’s about an hour’s drive form Newcastle to the Boarding House Dam Picnic Area, via Mount Faulk Road and Watagan Forest Road (4WD recommended when wet). From the picnic area, it’s only a few minutes to the cascades which is along a short loop walk.
