Summary: A well preserved trig station in the suburbs of Newcastle, the Waratah Trig is situated in a small reserve with filtered views over the surrounding area.

Located on top of a hill in Braye Park on the outskirts of Newcastle, the Waratah Trig is well preserved with its metal post and vane intact. There are some filtered views through the trees over the surrounding suburbs. The small reserve has some dog-friendly walking trails, and a children’s playground.
