Summary: A relatively new trig station built in 1979, which is in scrub just above the Wakehurst Parkway.

Constructed in 1979, this trig station was not part of the Sydney North historical trig stations – unlike the Jones trig which is 400m to the north and also along the Wakehurst Parkway. The trig is on a small rock outcrop and surrounded by scrub, so there is no longer any view.

The concrete pedestal is in fairly good condition and the nameplate is intact. On the top of the base is plastic dome.

Getting to Wakehurst Trig Station

The trig station is relatively easy to access, by parking along the Wakehurst Parkway to the north and either walking along the shoulder of the road, or following the Manly Dam MTB Trail. The last 30m or so is a bush-bash through relatively light scrub.
