Summary: The Umina trig station was on top of this unusual water reservoir; you can see the steel post that would have held the vanes, but is now holding a radio aerial.

One of the more unusual trig stations, the Umina Trig is on top of the Umina water tower. The water tower provides water pressure for the local residents of Umina. You can see the steel post that would have held the vanes on top of the tower; it’s now holding a radio aerial.

Umina Trig station

There are no views from the base of the trig (which is near the road); continue past the water tower and up onto a large rock platform. From here there are sweeping views over over the Central Coast of Umina, Ettalong, Fishermans Bay, Rileys Bay and Hardys Bay.
