Summary: Scott Trig is in poor condition, having been vandalised and partly covered by vegetation. The trig is on private property, and is close to Scott Tower (a passive trig).

Scott Trig was a major trigonometrical station on Tabaraga Ridge near Kurrajong – so it’s a little sad that the trig has been vandalised and is almost covered by weeds. There would have been some great views from the trig when the area was cleared, but now trees and scrub have completely obscured the outlook.

The trig is not in great condition, with just the concrete pedestal remaining; the name plaque and vanes are gone.

Scott Tower

On the opposite side of the road is Scott Tower (TS10250) – the top of the radio mast is the actual trig point.

Getting to Scott Trig

Unlike most other trigs in the area, Scott Trig is located on private property, so permission should be sought before visiting. The trig station is fairly easily reached, being only about 100m from Burralow Road, which is off Warks Hill Road in Kurrajong.
