Summary: A rather unremarkable trig station, Glossop Trig is near the start of the Linden Ridge Firetrail. A short, dog-friendly walk up to the trig point.

Located just outside the Blue Mountains National Park, the Glossop Trig is situated near a water reservoir at the start of Linden Ridge. There would most likely have been some nice views when the area was cleared of trees, but now you can’t see much in any direction… the trig itself is a concrete base with metal vanes.

From the Glossop Trig, you can also see the Glossop Reservoir Trig (TS10892 R) which is on top of a large water tank, tro the east of the heritage-listed Woodford Dam.

Getting to the Glossop Trig

It’s a dog-friendly but not particularly interesting walk to the trig station and reservoir, along a sealed road. A locked gate near the old Linden Observatory prevents vehicular access, but you can continue on foot or by bike.
