Summary: One of two trig stations on Blue Fish Point, the Blue Fish 1 trig is located right on the edge of the cliff below a WWII radar installation.

This is one of two trig stations at Blue Fish Point (the other, Blue Fish 2, is on top of a nearby concrete bunker), a cape with steep cliffs at North Head. The trig is below a more prominent radar mounted on the roof of a concrete bunker.

Blue Fish 1 trig station

Located right on the edge of the cliff, the trig is a steel post that has no mast or vanes – apparently due to the nearby radar.

There’s great ocean views from the trig point, and even better views at the end of Blue Fish Point.

Getting to Blue Fish 1 trig

The Blue Fish 1 trig is reached via an informal track (called the Fishermans Way) from Bluefish Drive, which follows the edge of the North Head Wastewater Treatment Plant. You’ll pass this trig point on the North Head Loop bushwalk.
