Summary: Little Oberon Bay on the western side of Wilsons Prom can be done as an easy day-hike, and is part of the multi-day Southern Circuit hike.

Little Oberon Bay, on the western side of Wilsons Promontory, is a small (250m long) beach which is nestled between tall mountains. The water is generally fairly calm, although it can get waves up to a 2m.

Although the beach gets a bit of passing traffic from bushwalkers doing the Wilsons Prom Southern Circuit, most of them don’t stop here so it also makes a nice day-trip where you won’t be sharing the beach with too many other people!

Getting to Little Oberon Bay

You can easily reach the beach as a day trip from Tidal River via the Oberon Bay Walking Track (9.7km return) – check Park Alerts as this track was closed due to storm damage in 2022/2023. The popular Wilsons Prom Southern Circuit also passes this beach.
