Summary: A pretty ordinary lookout, Warrimoo Lookout offers a pleasant, dog-friendly walk (or bike ride) in the lower Blue Mountains.

This is a pleasant and easy, dog-friendly bushwalk in the lower Blue Mountains to a leafy lookout. Don’t expect spectacular views from Warrimoo Lookout, but you’ll get a pleasant and quiet outlook over Fitzgerald Creek towards Yellow Rock.

Below the lookout are some nice rock overhangs – and the rusted remains of a number of dumped cars.

Getting to Warrimoo Lookout

The easy way to the lookout is to follow Rickard Trail from the end of Rickard Road to the end of the ridge (4km return). There is also an informal bushwalking and mountain bike track that loops under the end of the ridge, which has a few rock platforms offering similar views (approx 5.5km return).
