Just below the popular Evans Lookout in the Blue Mountains, Valley View Lookout offers a similar panorama over the Grose Valley. It offers a better view of Hayward Gully Falls (Gossamer Falls) to the north-west.

Below the lookout is an old bushwalking track, that goes to the edge of a slightly lower cliff edge.

Getting to Valley View Lookout

The unfenced lookout platform is a short walk from the end of Evans Lookout Road, which is 6.2km from Blackheath. It’s 13km (15min) from Katoomba and 115km (1:45min) from Sydney. Look for an informal (un-signposted) trail off the main paved trail down to Evans Lookout.
