Summary: A large lookout platform along the Pulpit Rock Track, the Horseshoe Falls Lookout provides a view over Grose Valley, and partial views of Horseshoe Falls.

One of a number of lookouts along the cliff-line between Govetts Leap and Pulpit Rock, the Horseshoe Falls Lookout at Blackheath offers a slightly different view to the other vantage points.

From the large lookout platform, there are the usual views down the Grose Valley, and across it to Mount Banks.

There’a also a view of Horseshoe Falls, which is almost directly below the lookout, and the horseshoe shaped escarpment.

A bit further along the track is the and old lookout, which is now officially closed and the short access track overgrown. It provides a similar view to Horseshoe Falls Lookout, but you can also see Govetts Leap from here.

Getting to Horseshoe Falls Lookout

The lookout is most easily accessed from Govetts Leap Lookout at the end of Govetts Leap Road, which is a 2.7km (4min) drive from Blackheath. From the carpark it’s about a 0.6km walk along the signposted Pulpit Rock Track, towards Pulpit Rock.
