Officially signposted as the Grose Valley Lookout – but also called the Victoria Falls Lookout – this viewpoint offers an easterly aspect over the Grose Valley. So it’s much better in the afternoon; in the morning it’s facing into the sun.
To the left (north) is Asgard Head – another spectacular lookout point – and directly ahead are the Birrabang Walls. In between them is the Grose Valley.
Directly ahead to the east is Mount Banks, rising above Banks Wall.

To the south is Victoria Creek and Burra Korrain Ridge (this is the only aspect which is best photographed in the morning, but it’s much less dramatic).

Getting to Grose Valley Lookout / Victoria Falls Lookout
While this lookout offers a nice view, it’s not really a destination in its own right – it’s easier to visit Pulpit Rock Lookout in Mt Victoria or Evans Lookout in Blackheath or similar or better views.
The lookout is located along the Victoria Falls walking track, about 200m from the carpark at the end of Victoria Falls Road. You pass the lookout when bushwalking to Victoria Falls or further down to the Blue Gum Forest. The parking area at the end of Victoria Falls Road is 5.1km (10min drive) from the Great Western Highway, and 6.3km (12min drive) from Mount Victoria Station.
