Summary: An informal and little-known lookout, Devils Hole Lookout in Katoomba provides great views over Narrow Neck and the Megalong Valley.

Devils Hole Lookout isn’t the easiest lookout to reach, but you’ll probably have it to yourself – and you’ll get some great views of Narrow Neck and the Megalong Valley.

The views are dominated by Narrow Neck, which stretches out to the south, with Mount Solitary behind it.

To the right (west) of Narrow Neck is the Megalong Valley.

Getting to Devils Hole Lookout

This informal lookout doesn’t have an official name; I’ve called it Devils Hole Lookout as it’s perched above Devils Hole in Katoomba. To reach the lookout follow the signposted Devils Hole Track from Cliff Drive, and just before a a couple of stone steps carved into the sandstone, head out to to a rocky outcrop on top of the cliffs.
