Summary: The Bunyeroo Valley Lookout along Bunyeroo Road offers a stunning view over the Wilpena Pound Range and its highest peaks.

One of two signposted lookouts along the Bunyeroo Road as it descends into the Bunyeroo Valley, the Bunyeroo Valley Lookout offers a spectacular outlook.

There’s an expansive view to the south over the Heysen Range.

Saint Mary Peak is the highest point in the range, and next to it Mount Ohlssen Bagge (formerly named Mount John) and Mount Boorong. Further to the west at the southern end of the Elder Range is Mount Abrupt.

Getting to the Bunyeroo Valley Lookout

The signposted lookout is off the unsealed Bunyeroo Road, about 15km (25min) drive from Flinders Way Range. From the parking area you can walk another couple of hundred metres to the end of the ridge.
