Summary: A rock platform at the edge of a cliff, Bunyan Lookout offers a view over Glenbrook Gorge,

An informal lookout above Glenbrook Creek, Bunyan Lookout provides a nice view over Glenbrook Gorge.

It’s not really a destination in its own right, but a nice vantage point on bushwalks to the Lost World and Lost World Lookout, and beyond.

Getting to Bunyan Lookout

The bushwalking track to Bunyan Lookout starts at the end of Martins Lookout Trail, an unsealed road off Farm Road in Springwood. It’s about an 8min (4.2km drive) from Springwood, and 1:15min from Sydney. The walking trail passes Martins Lookout, before descending steeply down to Glenbrook Creek. After crossing the creek, there’s a steep climb up to the lookout. From here, it’s a relatively easy walk to Lost World Lookout, which offers more much more impressive views.
