Located just off Mount York Road, the signposted Bardens Lookout offers a sweeping to the west towards Little Hartley and the Shipley Plateau in the distance.
A short distance to the south and also along Mount York Road is another lookout, which has no official name or signpost but is informally called the Historic Wells Lookout. It offers a similar perspective but is arguably a better vantage point.
Getting to Bardens Lookout
The signposted lookout is next to Mount York Road, 750m before the end of the road and 22km (23min drive) from Katoomba. The Coxs Road and Lockyers Road Loop bushwalk passes the lookout, which is also a popular climbing area.
