A long and narrow rock platform near the Coba Ridge walking trail contains two intriguing Aboriginal rock engravings. It’s surrounded by shrub, and even after many days of no rain, water seeps across the smooth surface of the rock.
The most prominent figure looks like a little like a Daramulan / Daramulum (a “one legged” sky hero associated with the god Baiame), but with a claw-like hand.
About five metres to the east on the same rock platform is a figure which looks like a bird.
To the west on the same platform is a shallow pothole, which might be a grinding hole, and the next rock platform to the east has a shallow waterhole described as a “sacred pool”.
