A challenging hike to the summit of Mount Bartle Frere, the highest mountain in Queensland at 1,611. The peak has the second-most elevation gain of any summit in Australia.
Far North Queensland (FNQ)
Also known as Tropical North Queensland, Far North Queensland is the northernmost part of Queensland. It stretches from Cardwell up to the Torres Strait, and it is Queensland’s largest region, covering 20% of the state (about one and a half times the state of Victoria).
