Mount Piddington Trig and Lookout
Mount Piddington in Mount Victoria has one of the highest trig stations in the Blue Mountains, and provides some nice views over the Kanimbla Valley.
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is part of Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. NPWS manages more than 870 NSW national parks and reserves, covering over 7 million hectares of land.
Mount Piddington in Mount Victoria has one of the highest trig stations in the Blue Mountains, and provides some nice views over the Kanimbla Valley.
Hat Hill Trig is on the top of Hat Hill, a small, rocky knoll that provides some sweeping Blue Mountains views.
While not the most spectacular lookout around Blackheath, Perrys Lookdown provide some nice views over the Grose Valley, Blue Gum Forest and Banks Wall.
A less-popular but spectacular Blue Mountains lookout, Anvil Rock offers some of the best views over the Grose Valley. It’s reached by a short 500m return bushwalk.
Baltzer Lookout on Burramoko Head and the nearby Hanging Rock lookout both provide spectacular views over the Grose Valley. They are reached by an 11km return bushwalk mostly on a firetrail.
A spectacular and very popular lookout (especially at sunset), Lincolns Rock provides sweeping views over the Jamison Valley from a large rock platform.
An interesting and scenic loop along Glenbrook Creek and Kanuka Brook, returning via the Red Hands Cave Track. It includes a side-trip to the spectacular Crayfish Pool and Grey Hat Falls.
Grey Hat Falls cascades into the stunning and pristine Crayfish Pool along Kanuka Brook. The swimming hole and waterfall is reached by a short but steep walking track.
Still in a pretty good condition, Medlow Bath Trig is easy to reach, but doesn’t offer any views.
Point Pilcher Lookout in Medlow Bath provides great views over Govetts Gorge and the Grose Wilderness, out to Mount Banks. A similar viwe to many of the Blackheath lookouts – but a lot less crowded.
