There are many waterfalls in every Australian state, although the most spectacular drops are along the eastern seaboard – the Blue Mountains (NSW), Waterfall Way near Dorrigo (NSW), Lamington National Park (QLD) and Cairns region (QLD) are some of the best places to go chasing easily-accessible waterfalls.

The list below is sorted by (my subjective) rating in descending order – so highest-rated falls/swimming spots at the top!

No positions found.

Tianjara Falls along Braidwood Road (between Canberra and the coast) is spectactular after heavy rain, and can stop flowing in dry periods.
Vera's Grotto Falls is a small but picturesque waterfall nested in a small gully, and reached via a steep walk down the Furber Steps.
Babbage Falls is a small waterfall along Moores Creek on the Little Digger Track. For the best view, follow the secret track that takes you to a long overhang below the falls.
