There are many waterfalls in every Australian state, although the most spectacular drops are along the eastern seaboard – the Blue Mountains (NSW), Waterfall Way near Dorrigo (NSW), Lamington National Park (QLD) and Cairns region (QLD) are some of the best places to go chasing easily-accessible waterfalls.

A very small cascade along Hazelbrook Creek, just above Oakland Falls.

Strickland Falls is a small waterfall in the Strickland State Forest, located in a nice rainforest setting.

The Cascades is more of a waterhole than a waterfall, but does have a number of small cascades. Continue down Middle Harbour Creek after rain for the best cascades.

Devils Throat (part of Alcatraz Canyon) drops 15m through a shaft in the cliffs before pouring out a slot in the rocks. It's unique waterfall and swimming spot.
