Out collecting trigs today in the area and we couldn't come out here without collect this one! this photo is actually from when we were here from a while ago because when we got here I realised we had definitely been here before so why not dig up some nostalgia!!

bit of an old photo before the trig was repaired, but we have been here a few times as it always a good lookout.

Still plenty of smoke about due to the bushfires. Nice to see this one so prominently placed.
Up to the top of Hassans Walls I headed today
A great sandstone wonderland hidden behind Lithgow
And by the lookout this trig point was sighted

Being a public holiday, it was very busy – just took the shots & will need to return to complete a cache & waymarks in the area - thanks

Up here today to Hassans Walls on recommendation of our accommo host. Driven past this many times albeit from a lower elevation so it was nice to put the pieces together. TFTC.

After Hassans Walls came up in a dinner discussion last night, I decided to pay my first visit there for 50+ years. Much more touristy than I remember and the "improvements" certainly make it easy to get to the now headless trig.
Wow since the last log in March the top of the trig has been removed!
We saw the base of the trig and double checked with past log photos that it was the right thing. There is graffiti on the nearby rocks and it is sad that people destroy history.

Another trig found, great location again!

With a 3-day weekend, and the 'promise' of a CITO Event at Bermagui on the Sunday, I headed down from Taree, to get a few Waymarks, Trigs, and a couple of geocaches.
While I had been close to this Trig (and Waymark) a few times in the recent past, this Friday was the day to finally come and photograph the scenic trig point. Quite a few cars in the car park for so close to 'sunset time'. Got a couple of touristy photos, then got one of the trig Name Plate, at 1955, Friday, 29 December. Nice to see it intact

Found whilst doing a cache run around Hassans Walls with JJCC. Fantastic views for here, well worth the visit.

Went for a little drive around the Hassans walls road and found me a couple of trigs along the way. Great view up here! I was going to try and find the Liz and Brice cache whilst here but just to the right of the lookout a group of girls were sitting around chatting and watching everyone come and go so I couldn't.
While visiting Lithgow today decided to come up to the Hassan's Walls lookout and snapped this Trig while there..

Found on our journey away from the Mega. Today we are travelling from Gulgong to Lithgow or perhaps from the tropics to the arctic. Mostly about travelling but we will collect a couple of caches along the way.
After arriving and setting up camp we had some time to tour around and visit the area and we collected this TP along the way. A busy location and it was in cloud when we arrived. We had to wait long enough for a clear shot at the nearby cache so we saw the cloud lift as well.

So, so very sad to see this 'vandalised' for the view from the new walkway/lookout platform. I had photos taken November 2012 while seeking the nearby cache, but none with the GPSr, and so returned today to make amends.
Shock, horror a new walkway/platform was in place, denying access to the trig, the cache, and the views from further out along the rock. Indeed the former lookout fencing was a good way off. But most disheartening was the realisation that the Vanes on Padleys had been removed, to 'enhance' the view.

Found on caching trip for an event at Wentworth Falls, no luck finding the GC cache but with this great trig i didnt go home empty handed, fantastic views from here.

Visited this trig with blossom*, pjmpjm and rogerw3 during a great day out in Lithgow
We had been here before to visit a few caches up this way but at that time, trigs had not been invented. Oh! Yes, they had been invented, just not listed on GCA So today we dutifully had our photo taken at the trig, admired the views and pointed out the cache locations below us.
This was a special geocaching outing for me, and I planned it a couple of days in advance -- my 1000th combined GCA/GC cache!
Mrs. pjmpjm accompanied me and we received an excellent map and directions from our friend rogerw3, so arrived at Hassans Walls Lookout south of Lithgow (the highest lookout in the Blue Mountains) with no difficulties at all.
There's a GC cache hidden up here as well, not far from the well-placed trig, so this Sunday outing was 'two for the price of one' -- a good value!
In fact, there's a 'loop' road going up here, so you can continue onwards afterwards and return to Lithgow and/or the Great Western Highway via another route.
We had a great time at the lookout and really enjoyed the amazing views. At first we were all alone, but eventually a tour bus arrived. We had a nice chat with some of the other visitors before making our way back down again.
Special thanks to rogerw3 for his assistance!

Went to there to visit some friends and took heaps of photos without thinking anything of it. Found out later about logging trigs on geocaching Australia.

This trig enjoys the best views of any of the trigs I've found to date. Will upload a photo at a later date.

Wanted to save this one, at a special spot that I used to visit regularly when I lived in Lithgow, for a milestone cache. So, number 600 it is!
What a view!

Stopped there this morning! Great views. Such amazing place, the views are really amazing.
The old trig is still standing with the mast and vanes.
